Tackling Environmental Challenges at Our School: A History and International Studies Student's View

Image
Hey there, fellow students! Today, let's dive into a topic that affects us all: chemicals, waste, and pollution issues right here at our school. It might not be something we discuss in history class, but understanding these problems is crucial for our environment and our health. Picture this: our beautiful school campus is facing some not-so-pretty challenges. Trash piling up, chemicals being mishandled, and pollution making the air less clean, plastic bottles scattered around the campus, electronic waste piling up, and air that sometimes doesn't smell quite right. Yep, we've got our own environmental struggles that deserve attention. Just like how history is shaped by different factors, our environmental problems have their roots too. It's often due to things like not recycling properly, old buildings causing pollution, and maybe a lack of awareness about the impact we're having. It's not just about a messy campus; it's about the bigger story of...

The Myth Of Being Productive

Image
We tend to consider productivity to be a never ending search for something more. More output, more results, more optimization, more meetings, more things checked off to-do lists. More efficiency. But always being busy is in itself a major distraction from the things that actually touch us, that make us happy. We humans think that what we call “being productive” should automatically fill their void. The hole that they feel eating them away. But, sure enough, it never does. Creating things, achieving things, taking things off to-do lists are all activities that feel amazing a first. It’s like a drug. But we risk ending up focusing so much more on productivity than on what’s really going on underneath ourselves. We keep busy because we actually avoid looking at what’s steaming inside, at how we really think about ourselves. We sacrifice our social lives, our romantic lives, our family life at the altar of checking things off lists and letting this define who you are. We ten...

A LETTER TO OMOTOLANI

Image
To Omotolani, After all this time, I'm writing to you to let you know that I am aware of your unspoken concerns and that you are making an effort to maintain your composure. I am able to look behind your quiet and also the load, the regrets, the failures, and the hope. Unfortunately, I'm traveling because I'm looking for a reason. My focus may seem to be elsewhere, but I can see. After suffering comes development, and as the seed of insight grows, I am able to perceive the struggle against the odds and the yearning to get out of this quicksand.   I observe the daily race against time that society is forcing us to participate in while our race is left behind and pushed to emerge from an unfavorable soil. I observe every damaged soul running away from the source of inner peace.    I'm writing to let you know that I've embarrassed manhood by crying for love for the first time and suffering heartbreak as all the memories I've made are drowned to prevent ag...

Lasu Electoral movie: Cast and Characters

Image
Political action is something we feel, breathe and live every second of every day. Political action engulfs us completely in the way we live together and see society. It is something that cannot be denied, it is the reflection of what people want. Our day is marked by continual upheaval and shifting political power. There isn't a day that goes by without some aspect of our world-changing,  Since politics has moulded the modern world, establishing and destroying the most powerful of nations, politics is a fundamental aspect of mankind. While liberating the most downtrodden, it has also been used to dominate the masses. It's no more breaking news that it's that time of the semester when potential candidates for the departmental, faculty, and Lasusu level student elections are advertised on posters, flyers, and even the internet. Although politics gives students a chance to participate in school administration, it also gives them a chance to learn more about how government fun...

AFTERMATH OF UNIVERSITY

Image
My life has felt like a sequence of stepping stones lately. completing primary school so I could learn the fundamentals for secondary school, then taking the WAEC to earn the necessary credentials to attend university. Now that I'm 19 years old, I'm still trying to convince myself that because I finally got into the university that I always wanted to go and am now on my way to some fantastic profession by clinging to my notes on the Russian revolutions of 1905 and 1917. Except that I don't know how to advance in my career, and I don't think I'm alone in that.   I understand that people discover something about which they are incredibly enthusiastic through time and come to terms with the paths their lives are on. We all start university with aspirations of becoming, among other professions, actors, lawyers, and doctors. But in my situation, I started university knowing nothing other than that having a history and international studies degree would make people beli...

No matter who you are or what you do, I can assure you that we all face the same major problem: not enough time in the day. It's getting harder and harder to stand out in our news feed because they are crowded and louder than before. It is obvious that you must act differently. The internet environment is constantly evolving and quick to change. A well-designed website is necessary for your business to have a strong online reputation. Without it, you will lag behind while your rivals continue to be innovative. Additionally, having a website is a need for all other marketing initiatives you may undertake. Regardless of the industry, a business's internet presence can significantly affect how successful it is. Some companies today are still unaware that the bulk of their clients will visit their website prior to completing a purchase. For producing more income, having a good online presence—especially a website—can make all the difference. Yes, the caliber of your website af...
