10 TYPES OF STUDENTS YOU WILL MEET IN SSOHIS-LASU DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Expect some significant changes in your life when you spread your wings and leave the nest to attend university. It's possible that the classroom microcosm at the university is different from what you're used to from your high school. In a classroom, there are many different types of students. They could exhibit 1 learning style or a mix of the other 6. These people learn best visually, audibly, verbally, kinetically, logically, socially, and alone.

These various learning styles are combined in a setting where learning is required of them. There are several personalities in the classroom, in addition. Having such a diverse student body makes a university classroom a challenging setting for learning.

There are various types of college students in each class. Because every learning environment is different, it is impossible to provide a description of the kids in a classroom. There are several kinds of slow learners, various kinds of students with special needs, and various kinds of gifted kids.

These three learning styles are mixed together in the lesson. The typical pupils in the class fall somewhere around the middle. The lecturer's strategy will depend on the types of pupils in the room. College life is challenging. There are many distinct kinds of students in every class. There are allegedly 22 different kinds of students you may encounter while attending college.  Here are the 10 types of students who will dominate your university experience:

The good friend or mother figure.

This pupil is concerned about the various styles of students in the classroom. He or she will make an extra effort to make all kinds of kids feel welcome and accommodated. This student has tissues, suggestions, and an Advil to help sick students get through the day. He or she is always willing to lend a shoulder to weep on when someone is going through a difficult period.

Students of various backgrounds can fall into this category. Little is influenced by their academic performance or learning style. It has to do with the character they possess. They will assume the role of the mother hen if they are kind and nurturing toward their classmates.

There is no gender restriction for this role. One of the group's guys might decide to take on the challenge. Being able to fall into this category is fantastic since you'll always have friends and peers that need you.

The genius.

The geniuses are one of the student kinds in a classroom that isn't always well-liked. There is at least one in every classroom. It's the person that seems to get everything done with ease.

They work very little or not at all, yet they excel. The remaining students are left perplexed as to what they are doing incorrectly. It appears so simple to the genius. If they can't compare, other pupils wonder what they're doing there.

The genius might frequently come out as distant. They find it challenging to comprehend the various slow learners in the classroom. They might even think of them as being unmotivated and lazy. Even though the brilliant student could appear to have it all, the top is lonely.

They frequently experience social exclusion because they intimidate other students. There should be more to college than just classes and grades. The genius might lose out on some of the greatest morality-enhancing courses available at university. That's because the majority of those lessons aren't taught in school.

The activist.

These are the kinds of pupils who are constantly searching for a cause to support in class. Enhancing or promoting the rights of the various special education student populations. The student activist finds his/her passion and engages with specific types of students to get them to ‘join the struggle.’

The student activist believes in a balanced approach to university life. They continue with their studies while they are there. However, they also support participating in other facets of student life in an effort to improve it for a variety of students. You might see them in the quad stopping other students to collect signatures on petitions or distributing flyers about their most recent cause.

Any interaction you have with them should also be prepared to focus on their most recent cause and what they're doing to support it. Also, don't be shocked if they drag you in to help out.

The sports personality.

Sports stars who are there to represent the university fill university classrooms. They tend to attract attention everywhere they go and are frequently well-liked and attractive. The only thing they might have in common is that they are both talented athletes. There are three basic types of learners in the classroom, each of whom need a particular strategy to support their learning.

Some may contend that these celebrities occasionally get away with murder. They have a good justification for not finishing their responsibilities. It can be difficult for them because of their busy practice and tournament schedule.

Even if other kids may realize this, it still has the potential to cause hatred. The athletes are under immense pressure to perform. They fit the profile of pupils who must deliver. While they are winning, everything is OK, but if they are not playing well, things may change.

The student who isn’t there to be a student.

These students can be found in almost any academic classroom. They are present as a result of external pressure. However, they do not attend for the academic experience per se. The social aspect is more important. They will veer off course a few times because they will not be satisfied with the field that their parents have forced upon them.

These kids are less likely to be in class and are more likely to be eating and chatting in the cafeteria. They don't feel pressured to go to class on a regular basis. When they do show up for class, they may exhibit some narcoleptic signs. They find everything to be so uninteresting that they nod off in class.

They don't care about tests or assignments, and they don't take much of their education seriously. Some people are lucky, and despite their relaxed demeanor, they succeed. However, they are the fortunate few.

The goody-two-shoes.

This group may include a variety of learners. This is the pupil who follows the rules to the letter. They will submit exactly 2,000 words if the essay's word count cannot exceed 2,000.

They pay close attention to the lecturer's every word and take copious notes. In fact, if you manage to take their notes from a missed class, it will make you feel as though you were there. That demonstrates how driven they are to ensure they don't miss anything the instructor says.

For this pupil, no task is too great or small. They get ready for class as directed by the instructor. If any reading was required before to the lecture, they completed it. Most likely, they have done it more than once.
They submit assignments early and are filled with a great deal of excitement and passion for the content they’re studying.

The party People.

Some kids attend college solely to party till there is no tomorrow. When kids enter university and are no longer under their parents' control, they start acting a little wild. Their time at university was marked by wild parties that lasted all night and heavy drinking that always came with a hangover.

This is a student that loves party more than school activities. He/she can go for a night party a night to a very important exam.

An advantage of this type of student is that he will be social and he will get to know a lot of people but his academics might be lagging behind.

The Enthusiast.

It’s easy to spot the enthusiast because they are always in the classroom at least 15 minutes before anyone else. This person gets so excited about the littlest things – eating in the cafeteria? “YES! What a time to be alive!” Unplanned outing? “I was born ready!” Stumbled on the way to class? “It’s like fate had chosen me. Best. Day. EVER!

Home alone Student:

This type of student, prefers staying at home to going to school, she would take the course outline and read in her house. Sometimes she might be working from home so her work might prevent her from going for lectures.

The worst about this type of student is that she doesn’t even care about attendance, as in, whether her comes to school or is none of his business. Are you this type of student?.

Phone life = Student life:

This student cannot let go of her phone, she is so addicted to her phone, in fact she can’t do anything e.g house chores, she downloads the latest movies, she plays the latest games, the funny thing about this issue is that if she is reading, and her phone vibrates, the reading is over. That’s the climax of it.

Conclusion.

Be a versatile student , balance your life well, make the most of your time in college because life in college is a big experience that lives forever in your memory. Make the good friends, dress well, add value to people around you and then life will treat you that same way.
